The Millennium Falcon isn't discontinued, nor are there any imminent signs that it will happen in the near future, but all Star Wars sets are retired eventually. LEGO has finally solved the problem of large gaps in the Falcon’s upper hull by using wedge plates to create five larger sections that open on a smaller number of hinges, rather than eleven. Once LEGO discontinues a Ultimate Collector Series set, the price on eBay skyrockets. The LEGO UCS Star Wars sets have among the best resale value across all LEGO franchise. There are also a few bricks that are worth far more than your average brick because of its rarity, like the coveted Millennium Falcon's printed satellite dish. Its overwhelming popularity and subsequent limited availability was perhaps only to be expected as a result, particularly given the enduring demand for 10179 Millennium Falcon. Of course not all bricks are the same, and a set could have a ton of pieces that are 1x1 in size. 75192 Millennium Falcon is the largest LEGO set released to date, containing an exceptional total of 7541 pieces. There have been a few other Star Wars sets released then that rival the Millennium Falcon in grandeur: the 4,784-piece Imperial Star Destroyer 75252,the 6,785-piece AT-AT 75313, and most recently the 6,187-piece Razor Crest 75331. The Millennium Falcon, which weighs twice as much as the LEGO Death Star that appeared in Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming. This behemoth measures 8" high, 33" long, and 22" wide and weighs 29 pounds. With 7,541 bricks, it boasts 2,346 more pieces than the previous UCS Millennium Falcon which was released back in 2007.
